Guests to make their own departures from Aintree Racecourse

Directions:
Aintree Racecourse
Ormskirk Road
Aintree
Liverpool
L9 5AS
Aintree Racecourse is located on the A59, just one mile from
the M57 and M58, which link the M62 and M6. Follow the A59
to Liverpool and the yellow/tourism signs as you approach the racecourse for routes to the car parks.

By Rail
Merseyrail will run a special timetable for The Randox Grand National 2025 Festival, with a seven-and-a-half-minute frequency of service running between Liverpool City Centre and Aintree Station before the start and after the finish of the races on each day of the festival
If you are travelling to Aintree from outside of the Liverpool City region, Lime Street is the main train station within the city centre. Liverpool Central Station is just a short walk from Lime Street, where you can catch a train to Aintree.

By Road
From South leave M6 at J21A and join M62 west. Leave M62 at J6 to join M57, follow signs for races. From North Leave M6 at J26 and join M58, follow signs for races. From Mersey Tunnels follow signs for Preston, then for A59, then signs for races.

Parking
Limited car parking is available on request on a first come first serve basis. The car park is located on the far side of the course and because of the location, an internal park and ride is in place.

When customers disembark, they will go through a searching procedure, access the bus and it will bring them across to the stand side of the course. They will be dropped at the ‘course walk’ which is adjacent to the Princess Royal Stand.

Please be aware you need to pre-book the Steeplechase car parking on the registration form. You will not be able to park
on the day without a pass.

On the reverse of the car parking label will be clear directions
on how to reach the Steeplechase car park.

By Bus
Aintree can be reached by bus on services: 300, 310 and 345 both to and from Liverpool.
For further information on bus routes, contact Merseytravel on 0151 236 7676 or visit www.merseytravel.gov.uk/journeyplanner

FAQS

What is the dress code?
Smart dress is recommended for this event. Gentlemen should wear suits and ties, while ladies are encouraged to wear dresses and hats to enhance the special atmosphere. Although hats are optional, they are commonly worn. Please note that sports clothing and fancy dress are not permitted at the Grand National meeting.

Bags and security
Customers are advised not to bring any bags larger than a small handbag (30 cm x 10 cm x 20 cm). Please note that there will be no luggage storage facility available on site. Bringing a bag may delay your entry to the racecourse, so we strongly encourage you to avoid bringing any bags or prohibited items.

Will there be parking available on the day?
Limited car parking is available upon request and is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be asked during registration if you need a parking pass, which will be emailed to you prior to the event.
The most convenient way to reach Aintree is by train, as Aintree Station is located directly opposite the racecourse

Where can I place my bets throughout the day?
Tote stands are located all over the enclosure.

When will I receive my ticket?
This year, tickets are going digital. Your tickets will be emailed to you before the event. You will also receive a welcome pack in the post, including your event itinerary. Your Tiger Roll swing badges will be collected upon arrival at the racecourse.

Where do I go once I arrive at the race track?
Upon arriving at the track, proceed through the main entrance and security checks. Staff will guide you to the Molson Coors Marquee.

Does the venue have disabled access?
With the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) in October 2005, Aintree Racecourse, in common with all
premises offering access to the Public in England and Wales, assumed a mandatory obligation to provide easy access to all parts of its premises for people with Disabilities, wherever reasonably practicable. The Act recognises, however, that full access is not always reasonably achievable in older existing buildings, and therefore states that in these cases people with disabilities should be able to gain easy access into the premises and that the services they require should be made available to them near their entry point

Will taxis be readily available on the day?
Taxis are often hesitant to drop off and pick up from Aintree Racecourse, as it is situated on a dual carriageway. This creates an unsafe environment for collecting or dropping off guests, so please make alternative arrangements if necessary.

Will there be cash machines onsite?
Yes, there will be cash machines located at various points around the Enclosure, however these can get extremely busy so we would recommend bringing cash with you before entering the Racecourse.
